Being the fifth largest lake in Switzerland, Lake Zurich not only attracts visitors with its numerous public baths, the so-called Badis, it also offers excellent terroirs for winegrowing on its shores. The area around the lake has a range of interesting vineyards just waiting to be discovered by you.
Get to know regional icons such as the grape variety 'Räuschling', commonly known as 'Zürichrebe' or 'Züriwiss'. This white wine variety has been a native of Lake Zurich for over 300 years now and had a successful comeback about 10 years ago. Previously frowned upon as being too acidic, it now impresses with its fresh, light wines and a vivid but pleasant acidity. But better see and get a glimpse of the wines from this region yourself!
