Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are the two most loved white wine varieties. Both are highly versatile, although each in its own way. They come from the two most famous French regions (Sauvignon Blanc originates from Bordeaux, while Chardonnay comes from Burgundy) but today they are found in almost every wine region of the world - and of course this includes Switzerland!
Chardonnay usually has a slightly fuller character, and is found in both stainless steel and oak barrels. Sauvignon Blanc, on the other hand, has a little more freshness and acidity, with slightly greener aromatic notes, and is more commonly found aged in stainless steel.

Patrick Thalmann runs his micro winery with loads of passion and creativity. This Sauvignon Blanc is complex and has a great potential. It is the best vintage they have produced so far, according to the winemaker. In the nose it appears fresh and opulent, with a slight exoticism. The mouth reveals fine apricot, peach, pear and lychee notes that evolve into grapefruit and orange.
Before becoming a winemaker, Jean-Michel Novelle dreamed of being a perfumer. In the end, his destiny turned towards the vineyard, but the creativity, finesse and sensitivity of his first vocation were maintained in the second. This complex Sauvignon Blanc with an exotic character has a persistent, mineral, finely iodised finish. Ideal with seafood.
