Vino Hauser

DOC Ticino, Switzerland

Eight different grape varieties grow on 7.5 hectares of vineyards in the villages of Contone and Cugnasco. 3 hectares of vines are located above Contone on the slopes of Monte Ceneri, while 1.5 hectares grow on the plain. Another 3 hectares grow on the opposite side of the valley in Cugnasco. The Merlot grape variety represents the largest part of the vines planted (75%), followed by the Sauvignon Blanc (20%). Vino Hauser produces six different wines. The climate is characterised by hot, almost tropical summers and rather dry winters. It is almost exclusively handmade.

Vino Hauser is a small company with a strong link to wine. A great deal of attention is paid to quality and the work is almost exclusively done by hand. 6 hectares of the total of 7.5 hectares of vineyards, are located on steep and sloping sites. Red wines are only planted on hillsides to ensure the highest quality possible.
