The Baumgartner Winery cultivates 12 hectares of vineyards on 5 areas. These are classic Jura soils, comparable to those in Burgundy. The geographical latitude is also identical. The heavy, calcareous soils with lots of loamy clay are ideal for red wine and Pinot Noir sites. They are southern slopes at low altitudes. The vines benefit climatically from the nearby river valleys and are quite well protected from storms by these geographical locations. The Chürzi/Lengnau and Sandacher/Endingen sites are atypical for the region, where sandy loam soils predominate.

Since 2018 the wines of Baumgartner Weinbau have been certified with the Fair'n Green label. This label reflects the philosophy of the winery. Over 150 points are evaluated, from the use of resources to working conditions and social commitment. Speciality: here you can become a vine sponsor in order to build up an even more personal relationship with the wine.
