  Gewürztraminer

  The name of this precocious grape variety reveals much about its aromas. It is often used to make full-bodied wines with notes of lychee, kumquat, passion fruit and rose. As one of the oldest and highest quality wine varieties worldwide, many international winegrowers from countries such as Australia, New Zealand or South Africa also cultivate Gewürztraminer. But don't be fooled: often the wine's low acidity gives the impression of it being sweeter than it really is.

  Traminer

  This grape is both a grandfather and a grandchild: it tastes excellent when young and early harvested, or after about 20-30 years of storage. Its descendant is the Sylvaner. It shines in golden yellow colour and has a bouquet of nuts, vanilla and honey as well as a smoky touch.
