The Domaine des Muses was born in the heart of the Valais, not far from Sierre, the city of the sun. Located mainly at the foot of two hills overlooking the village of Granges, it extends over 9 hectares of vines. Respectful of nature, Robert Taramarcaz aims to preserve the wine growing heritage. To achieve this, his team uses ecological and reasoned production techniques. They grow 12 different grape varieties, planted according to their climatic requirements and to their link with the terroir. Grapes are harvested by hand and picked at optimum maturity.
Robert Taramarcaz offers about 15 red and white wines. Some traditional vintages honour the Valais terroir, others are aged in barrels. An artist at heart, Robert Taramarcaz began by creating 3 blends for his 3 favourite muses (Euterpe, Terpsichore and Polymnie) and dedicates some of his wines to characters who fascinate him (the poet Rainer Maria Rilke, the playwright Edmond Eugène Alexis Rostand, the painter Gustave Courbet, etc.).
