The Mazzocchi family has committed since 1919, with heart and dedication, to agriculture and viticulture. Edoardo, who enters the company, still a boy, in the mid-1960s, is the current owner’s father and has always distinguished himself for his persistence, his passion for the vineyard and his vision. We can still find his precious teachings in the company: the wine is the result of the quality in the vineyard. Passion and love combined with competence are essential for achieving excellence.
Tenuta Cavalier Mazzocchi is in Narni, in the Southern part of Umbria, at 200 mt above sea level. The mild hills of this area surround the vineyards of the Mazzocchi family, interspersed with woods and arable land, all organically grown. Thanks to his international experience and to Edoardo’s deep knowledge of the area, father and son carry out precise studies and decide to express the territorial vocations by planting different varieties, depending on the terroir. Tenuta Mazzocchi grows now Ciliegiolo, Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet as red grapes, and Vermentino, Malvasia and Chardonnay as whites. The vines age ranges from 47 to 16 years.
