Weißburgunder Khalchlucken

Weingut und Sektmanufaktur Harkamp Weißburgunder Khalchlucken

Our most valuable still wine! We only create this special Weiburgunder in exceptionally good vintages. The name Khalchluckhen was first mentioned in 1629. For us it stands for an elegant wine with a lot of minerality and depth. The aging in 500 L wooden barrels and the prehistoric chalk soil give this wine a high degree of complexity and aging potential. More

Harkamp are indeed the stars of sparkling wine - and there are also exceptionally good ones. But what this Weissburgunder from a small parcel with chalk - the soil is slippery unstable - can do is unique! From white peach to herbs and minerality - there is hardly a Weissburgunder aroma that is not present in this great wine.

The earlier confusion with Chardonnay did not do justice to this mutation from Pinot Gris, as it is much more delicate. The bouquet of this variety enchants with a Christmasaroma: Baked apples with vanilla sauce, butter almonds and hazelnuts. Liquorice and a slightly tarry note also accompany this grape on the nose - and yet the Weissburgunder is called a summer wine. Who can say no to this seasonal artist?
